Blood: Drama Review
Blood is a vampire-themed K-drama that was released in 2015. The drama also gained a lot of attention since the cast starred a bunch of famous actors and actresses like Ahn Jae-hyun, Goo Hye-sun, Ji Jin-hee, Jung Hae-in, and many more! The storyline revolves around Park Ji-sang, a surgeon at Taemin Cancer Hospital who has an identity as a vampire. Ji-sang is infected with a virus named VBT-01 since he was born to infected parents. After he helped a girl when he was young, Ji-sang dedicated his life to helping people instead of becoming a bad vampire. Ji-sang meets Yoo Ri-ta, a doctor as well as the niece of the Taemin Hospital’s CEO. Despite her fiery and haughty personality, Ri-ta is a caring person. As they get to know each other, they start to develop romantic feelings. Ri-ta also helps Ji-sang find a cure for VBT-01.

Then, one of the most heartbreaking scenes eventually happens, Ji-sang dies at Ri-ta’s side. Sometime later, Ri-ta goes to Kochenia alone and enjoys herself there. Suddenly, a group of vampires try to attack her, but there is a guy who saves her- it is Park Ji-sang! With a beautiful reunion, Ri-ta and Ji-sang meet again, and that wraps up the ending of Blood!

He works as a surgeon and tries to find a cure for the virus after his parents die. Goo Hye-sun as Yoo Ri-ta She was born Yoo Cha-eun, but after her parent’s death, her name changed to Yoo Ri-ta and she lived with her uncle. She works as a physician and meets Ji-sang at Taemin Hospital. Ji Jin-hee as Lee Jae-wook He is a doctor who got infected with the VBT-01 virus and has dangerous ambitions. He used to work with Ji-sang’s parents as a researcher, but he has bad intentions to expand the virus. Son Soo-hyun as Min Ga-yeon She is Ji-sang’s subordinate and secretly works for Lee Jae-wook since he saved her from a disease by turning her into a vampire. Jung Hae-in as Joo Hyun-woo He is Ji-sang’s close friend and works as a researcher to help Ji-sang find the cure for VBT-01.
