Jen is the younger member or maknae of the group. Jen was also the last member to be revealed by Chitwn Music as a member of UNVS on September 5th, 2019. He changed his stage name from Yehyeong to Jen. Unlike the other members who like red and black, Jen loves the color burgundy. Jen also has one older brother and one older sister. This youngest member of UNVS was a member of the dance club of his high school. A unique fact about Jen is that he can differentiate among chickens in a convenience store!
Official Debut
As previously said, UNVS debuted in Taiwan in 2016, they released their first single titled “Uni-verse.” Then, in 2017 they released their second single “Hacker” by promoting in Taiwan and Japan. In the same year after their second single, Minho, IL, and Sihoon left the group and only Changgong and Yongyong were left. Then 3 new members, namely Jun. H, Jen, and Eunho joined and became trainees for 2 years. After being trainees for 2 years, UNVS was finally ready to ensure their debut with a new line-up. UNVS then officially introduced the group by releasing a group poster on February 9th, 2020. Finally, UNVS debuted on February 23rd, 2020, with their first debut single titled “Timeless.” However, because they debuted amid the Coronavirus Pandemic and in accordance with the South Korea Government regulations about the protection of the pandemic and warning, UNVS had to do their showcase, which was aired, without an audience.
Timeless
After debuting in 2020 with the single “Timeless,” UNVS also made their first comeback after their debut in the same year. UNVS released a single track from the single album Timeless titled “Solar Eclipse” or in Korean “절대 모를거야,” which means “You’ll Never Know,” and the song was released on April 8th, 2020. This comeback uses a mature and sexy concept with a piece of slow music. Then, in the same month, they released the song “Give You Up” as their second single from the soundtrack album Lost & Broken: Give You Up which they released and promoted on May 15th, 2020.
